Krultz, Walter William (27 July 1919 - 29 June 1999)

GREENWOOD - Walter William Krultz, 79, Greenwood, died at 12:30 p.m. June 29, 1999, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rinka Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Terri Blomberg will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Walter was born July 27, 1919, in Kansas to Michael and Antonia (nee Prosence) Krultz. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to the Willard area and farmed and where he attended school. On Dec. 29, 1956, he married Arlene Thwing in Neillsville.

After his schooling, Walter worked the family farm. At the time of his marriage, Walter and Arlene bought the family farm and continued to farm until his retirement on Dec. 31, 1990. At that time Walter and Arlene moved into their current residence. In his retirement years Walter enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting and watching softball and baseball, particularly the World Series. He had also served as a member of the Cheese Factory Board in Greenwood.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; one daughter, Lori (Robert) Schultz of Neillsville; one nine-month-old granddaughter, Krista, who was very special to him; two brothers, Michael (Rose) Krultz of Neillsville and Selbian (Vicky) Krultz of Greenwood; one sister, Frieda Klancher of Willard and one brother-in-law, Ludwig Hribar of Willard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two stepmothers and one sister.
