Death came quietly last Monday night at he home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) where she had been living with her two daughters, Sena and Clara. She had been ill for three days previous to her passing away but as late as Labor Day she was u enjoying a drive through the neighboring countryside with her daughters.
On April 19th more than 100 friends and relatives honored this lovely personality by attending a birthday party given for her by her daughters at the Danish Assembly Hall.. It has been only the past several years that she was unable to enjoy reading, as her eyesight had failed but she found immeasurable pleasure and comfort in various radio programs. Usually Mrs. Petersen would sleep or remain in bed until noon and then get up to spend the remainder of the day until about 10 p.m. working on a quilt she was making and listening to the radio.
She is survived by her two daughters, Misses Sena and Clara Petersen.
