Allain, Evonna (20 June 1946)
Miss Delores Ruth Foltz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Foltz, Curtiss, and Warren Jay Phaneuf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Phaneuf, Abbotsford, and Miss Evonna Allain, a double cousin of the bride, and Dick Fischer were married in a double wedding ceremony read in the rectory of the Catholic church at Spencer by the Rev. Fr. Henry, June 20, at high noon.
Miss Foltz wore a white linen afternoon frock with a white picture hat and matching accessories. Pink and white roses were pinned to her shoulder. Miss Allain was attired in a white eyelet dress and had a corsage of red and white roses.
Each couple served as attendants for the other.
Following the wedding, dinner was served to 25 guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allain at Unity, Wis.
The Phanuefs spent a honeymoon in southern Wisconsin and Illinois.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Phaneuf were graduated from the Abbotsford high school with the class of 1942. Mrs. Phaneuf is employed in the Owen Beauty Shop and her husband plans to attend school in the fall. He returned last fall from three years of service overseas in the European Theatre of Operations.
