Beyer, Sharon L. (Marriage - 1 June 1971)
Miss
Sharon L. Beyer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Beyer of Rt. 3,
Neillsville, and William J. Behnke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Behnke of
Cecil, exchanged wedding vows Tuesday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m. Clark County Judge
Michael Brennan officiated at the double-ring ceremony performed at the home of
the bride, where a dinner and reception for approximately 50 guests were also
held.
For her marriage the bride chose a white street-length dress of
lace over taffeta, fashioned with long, lace sleeves and an empire waistline
accented with a white satin band. Given in marriage by her father, she carried a
single long-stemmed red rose.
The matron-of-honor, Mrs. Gary Tarlton of
Milwaukee, wore a light yellow street-length dress of textured polyester knit
featuring a bodice with flowered trim. She carried a small bouquet of daisies.
Gary Tarlton of Milwaukee served as bestman.
The newlyweds, who plan a
wedding trip for a later date, are living at Cecil, where the groom is engaged
in farming. The bride is a 1966 graduate of Neillsville High School. Her husband
is a 1967 graduate of Bonduel High school.
