Barton, Victoria #2 (9 APR 1907)
Tuesday morning Father Hauck united in marriage Richard Welch and Miss Victoria Barton at St. Mary’s Church. Miss Agnes Tracey and Albert Barton were the attendants. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. Welch have gone to housekeeping in the cozy little home they have already prepared.
Mrs. Welch is a most estimable young lady whose qualifications for the duties she assumes are manifold. Her pleasing characteristics will be reflected in her home and Mr. Welch was indeed fortunate in his winning. The groom is one of the finest young men of the city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.). He is frugal and industrious, honest and faithful, and when these things can truthfully be said of a young man, what higher recommendation does he need/ Mr. Welch is a mail carrier on one of the rural routes. Both of the young people have a wide acquaintance, and their friends wish them a happy future.
