Peterson, Olive N. (29 Apr. 1922 - 21 Apr. 2009)
Olive N. Peterson, 86, of Marshfield entered eternal life Tuesday evening, April 21, 2009, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Don Houdeshell will officiate. Maldon Plank will provide special music with Duane Helgerson serving as soloist. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon Zuelke, Lisa Peterson, Stan Madler, Merlin Lindow, Bill Peterson, Scott and Tammy Kundinger and Mary Peterson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home, where the Order of the Eastern Star ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. Mrs. Peterson was born April 29, 1922, in Chili, the daughter of Charles and Eva (Lindow) Meissner. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School.
On Oct. 4, 1941, in Chili, the former Olive Meissner was united holy marriage to Lawrence Peterson. He preceded Olive in death June 22, 1985.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Mrs. Peterson worked as a secretary for Peterson Brothers Trucking Company.
Olive cherished the time she could spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower gardening, singing and quilting. Olive was also famous for mixing the best Brandy Manhattans.
Mrs. Peterson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the ladies aid. Olive is lovingly survived by a son, Lonnie (Paulette) Peterson; Phillips. Grandchildren, Tammy (Scott) Kundinger, William (Lisa) Peterson, Mary Peterson and four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Ashley, Bryson and Brady. One sister, Ilene Peterson, Marshfield, further survives Olive.
Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy in Mrs. Peterson's name are encouraged to do so to the Alzheimer's Association.
