Fecker, Marie (Marriage - 6 July 1946)
Miss Marie Fecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fecker, became the bride of Alfred Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, Edgar, in a ceremony performed at St. Bernard’s rectory, Saturday afternoon, July 6. The Rev. Francis Brockman read the marriage service at 3:00 o’clock.
The bride wore a summer frock of white eyelet, and a white straw picture hat. A string of pearls, long white gloves and a shoulder corsage of red roses, small white carnations and ferns completed her ensemble.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Homer Hutchins, Chicago, the bride’s sister, as matron of honor, and Roy Wilde, Colby, the bride’s uncle, as best man; and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Borchardt, of Edgar, friends of the groom.
Mrs. Hutchins wore a frock of yellow eyelet and Mrs. Borchardt’s was peach eyelet. Both attendants wore white picture hats, white gloves, and shoulder corsages of pink roses, white carnations and ferns.
Mrs. Fecker, the bride’s mother, wore a dress of pale green print and Mrs. Mueller, the groom’s mother, wore one of brown. Both mothers had corsages of pink and white carnations.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. At 6:30 a dinner was served at the armory club rooms by the Catholic ladies. The tables were beautifully decorated with low bowls of pink roses, baby’s breath and forget-me-nots and pastel candles. Centering the bridal table was a beautifully decorated three-tier wedding cake, surrounded by lace cornucopias with roses, baby’s breath and forget-me-nots in each one and topped by a wedding bell.
In the evening a wedding dance was held at the Trianon gardens.
Mrs. Mueller is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1945.
Mr. and Mrs. Mueller are making their home in Abbotsford where he is employed at the Marathon-Clark Cooperative Dairy Association. He received his honorable discharge from the service in January.
