Thompson, Margery (Marriage - 11 July 1946)
Miss Margery Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Thompson, of Abbotsford, and Jack Helding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helding, of Kenosha, exchanged marriage vows in St. Paul’s Methodist church, Stevens Point, Thursday afternoon, July 11. The Rev. Clifford M. Fritz performed the ceremony at 4:00 o’clock.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bogaard, of Abbotsford, Wis.
For the occasion the bride wore a green wool suit and a yellow flower hat. Her attendant wore a suit of gray with her pin stripe. Both wore corsages of red roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Helding are now on a honeymoon, at Minocqua.
The bride, before her marriage, taught school for four years. She received her degree in primary education at Central State Teachers’ College at Stevens Point.
The groom served for five years in the army with the Ninth Armored Division in Europe. He received his honorable discharge from the service in December.
Mr. and Mrs. Helding will make their home at Kenosha.
