McKimm, Samuel #2 (1861 - 15 JUN 1907)

On June 15th, 1907, Samuel McKimm, a Clark County boy, died at the hospital at Grand Rapids, Minn.., after a seven week’s illness with blood poisoning, later contracting black diphtheria. His brother, Joseph of the town of York, attended the funeral.

Mr. McKimm was born in Canada in 1861, came with his parents to Clark County in 1884, settling in the town of York. Two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Meyers of this city and Miss Blanche McKimm of Duluth, survive him. His aged parents and four sisters and three brothers are also left to mourn him. His sisters are Mrs. Chas. Acker of Whitehall, Mrs. James Christie of Woodburn, Ore., Mrs. E. D. Begley of the town of York and Mrs. Sam Christie of the town of Eaton. His brothers are James of Canada, Robert and Joseph of the town of York.

Mr. McKimm was a hard working, industrious and honest man. At the time of his sickness he was engaged in the telephone business at Grand Rapids. He has many friends here who will be grieved to learn of his demise.
