Humiston, Jessie #3 (26 JUN 1907)
A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mrs. L. L. Humiston Wednesday, June 26th, 1907, in which her daughter, Jessie was married to Edward Davis of Marshfield, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Davis of York. At eight o’clock in the evening Mrs. Belle Mortimer started the march by which the couple marched into the parlor and took their places. The bride was attended by Miss Elsie Seiger, a cousin, and the groom by his brother Jay. Rev. Towne of Loyal officiated while about fifty relatives witnessed the ceremony. The bride was dressed in white and the groom wore a the conventional black. Congratulations were given after the ceremony, after which the company marched into the dining room where a fine supper was awaiting them.
Numerous presents were received which will be useful to the young couple as they start housekeeping at once at Marshfield.
The many good qualities of the bride and groom need not be mentioned here as the young people are well known by all.
The out of town relatives present were: Mrs. Solone Gray and Mrs. Grey of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Thursden of Rossie, Iowa, and Mrs. Lynch and daughter of Neillsville.
