Mr. B. M. Fulmer of Loyal was in the city Tuesday.

Ed Furlong returned from Tennessee last Week.

Priz. B. O. Dodge of Greenwood was a pleasant caller Saturday.

Wm Nutting of Loyal came down Sunday on one of his usual business trips.

D. C. Menefee of Wonewoc, formerly of this place was here Friday on business.

Paul Gwinn and Albert Davil of Loyal were here Sunday, to see the ball game.

Andrew Emerson and C.H. Brown of Loyal, registered at the O'Neill House Saturday.

The Neillsville Milling Company are building a ware house opposite the mill and near the railroad track.

Sheriff Tufts arrested a man working for Luethe & Shroeder. He gave his name as Chas. Thompson from Iowa and is held for forgery. The sheriff from Iowa conveyed him to his own native state, where he may see again the land he loves so well (to shun). His own name is Ruben Dobson.

The ball game Saturday between Portage and Neillsville resulted in a victory for Neillsville, the score being 7 to 4. The Sunday game was still more of a victory the score being 13 to 6. Portage has been reported as having a very good team but they became as easy prey for the Neillsville team.
