Carl Schwarze and Gale Hiles were Marshfield visitors Monday.
Mrs.
George Speich and Mrs. A. Speich were Marshfield visitors Sunday.
The
local canning factory has completed their pack of early peas and part of the
medium have also been packed. After being shut down for about a week, they will
again start work today on the late peas.
A.C. Buker and family returned
home Monday from a week's auto trip through Minnesota and northern Wisconsin.
Dr. and Mrs. H. R. Schofield returned from Chicago Tuesday after visiting
friends here for several days.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Leach spent Saturday and
Sunday with their son Erwin at Eau Claire.
Mrs. Oren Crum and four
children of Anoka, Minn. are visiting here at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary
Larson.
Mrs. J. Drummond and grandson and Mrs. J. Wuethrich and two sons
John D. and Allen were Chippewa Falls visitors Tuesday.
Mr. Day and
family of near Fond du Lac are camping at Tourist Park. Mr. Day is buying cows
in this vicinity and expects to be here a week or more.
Oscar Johnson,
who has been visiting relatives and friends here, returned to his home at
Corinth, N.D. Monday.
Mrs. A.H. Noetzel and daughters Ruth and Ambrosia
were Marshfield visitors Monday.
Mrs. Herman Mueller, who spent a week
here with her sister, Mrs. Aug. Beyer, left last Thursday morning for her home
at Milwaukee.
Adolph Wessel, one of our pioneer farmers on route two, has
sold his farm to hsi son Albert. Mr. Wessel will make his home in this city.
Chris Braun and Mrs. C.F. Ludwig attended the F.R.A. convention at Wausau
Tuesday.
The Misses Elva and Lola Amidon of Granton called on friends
here Monday.
The West Side Aid will meet with Mrs. Ida Meinholdt
Wednesday, Aug. 4.
Palmer Vinger had professional business at Appleton
last week.
Mrs. Ed Buker entertained Merry-go-round Wednesday evening,
July 28th.
Miss Rosetta Hillier of Fox Lake is visiting at the J.O'
Connell and Wm. Neuenfeldt homes.
C.C. Hoehne and family were at Nekoosa
Sunday where they attended a fireman's picnic.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thieme
and family of Curtiss spent Sunday at the Adolph Schwarze home.
The
Misses Hazel and Elsie Barr and Joe Brauneis spent Sunday at Chippewa Falls.
Edison Borgers, son of Mrs. A.L. Borgers, returned home from Marshfield
hospital last Wednesday, where he recently underwent a tonsil and adenoid
operation.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schwarze and Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Shanks
and daughter Mildred spent Sunday at Fairchild.
Walter Stabnow, Mrs. Mary
Gries and daughter, Mrs. Rob Stiefvater were Marshfield visitors Thursday.
Mrs. John Arends and daughter Theresa and Miss rue Cumming sent to Chippewa
Falls Monday for a week's visit with friends.
Dr. F.A. Boeckman was a
Marshfield caller Friday.
Walter Needham left Saturday for Fennimore to
get his mother. They returned here Sunday.
Mrs. Ellen Moody of Withee
spent Sunday at the Geo. W. Bishop home here.
Miss Alma Berg of St. Paul
spent Sunday here with her brother, Lawrence Berg.
Vern Varney and family
of Brookings S.D. are spending the week at the C.A. Varney home.
The
Misses Lois Merkel and Eleanor Kreig are spending the week at the Ed Fisher home
at Marathon.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Art Johnson and son autoed to Chippewa Falls
Monday for a few days visit with relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Buker, Mr. and Mrs. Will Volk and Mrs. Val Volk were Eau Claire visitors
Tuesday.
Mrs. F.A. Boeckman and daughter Kathryn left last Thursday for
an extended visit with relatives and friends at Ripon and Milwaukee.
Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Michael and children of Amery, Wis. And Mrs. Michael's mother,
Mrs. M. Beer of Owen, spent Sunday afternoon at the August Beyer home.
Piano Tuner Edwin Christopherson will be here on a regular trip this week. Leave
orders at Marden's Music Store.
Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Peterson returned home
from Pike Lake on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fischer of Marathon spent
Wednesday here with friends. Mr. Fischer owned the Hemlock Chees Factory a few
years ago.
