Masters, Effie #2 (12 JAN 1870 - 23 AUG 1907)

Effie Carr Masters, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Tompkins, was born Jan. 12, 1870 in the town of Levis (Clark Co., Wis.). She was a talented and educated young lady and taught school for many years. At the time of her marriage to L. G. Masters in 1892 she was teaching music in this city. Mrs. Masters was the mother of one son, Harry, who with his father remains to mourn the demise of a loving mother and wife. Mrs. Masters died at Prescott, Ariz., Aug. 23, 1907, and interment took place in this city last Sunday. Mrs. Masters was a kind hearted Christian lady, an excellent helpmate and a true friend. R. A. Masters and wife of Greenwood, Mrs. H. Masters of Plainfield and A. Masters of Chicago were here to attend the funeral.
