Lambert, Elsie (29 September 1889 - 14 June
1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Meyer Lambert, 81, of Memorial
Home, who died June 14, were to be held this (Thursday) morning, June 17, at
10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Charles D.
Brady was to officiate, with burial to be made in the parish cemetery. A rosary
service was to be held Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral
Home, where the body of Mrs. Lambert was in state.
Elsie Lambert, the
daughter of Joseph and Alvina (Beilke) Meyer, was born September 29, 1889, in
Neillsville, where she received her education. Her marriage to Joe Bishop took
place in 1910. The Bishops operated a dry cleaning and tailoring shop in
Neillsville, and later she operated it alone. Mr. Bishop preceded his wife in
death in 1934. She was married in 1938 to Fred Lear, who died in 1945. Mrs.
Lambert was married to Ernest Lambert in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1951.
Mrs. Lambert was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an honorary
member of the P.C.C.W. She had been a resident of Memorial Home since November
of 1965.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
