Simon, Charles A. #2 (7 DEC 1825 - 25 NOV 1907)
Charles August Simon, one of the pioneers of Clark Co. (Wisconsin) died at Chicago Nov. 25th, 1907, at 8:30 o’clock a.m. of old age. He was born in Germany Dec. 7th, 1825, and in 1842 located in Milwaukee with his parents. In 1850 he moved to Chicago where he remained a number of years until his residence was destroyed by the Chicago fire in 1871. He then moved to Neillsville and conducted a meat market here for a number of years. Deceased left surviving him his sister Anna Garbush, two daughters, Mrs. Emma Scholz, Mrs. Sarah Schoengarth, and one son, Mr. George Simon. The remains were brought to Neillsville Wednesday for burial. Services were held at the Congregational Church in the afternoon, Rev. A. R. Rice officiating.
