Neff, Alberta E. #2 (10 DEC 1907)

Alberta Edna, oldest daughter of Dorr A. Neff, was married Dec. 10th, 1907 to Walter A. Proctor of Minneapolis. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. V. Ingham of Eau Claire, in the presence of the friends and relatives of the bride and groom.

Miss Neff, who has lived all her life here, is an accomplished and charming girl who has many friends who will give them their best wishes for their future happiness. Mr. Proctor is a present connected with the Osborne Co. of New York. After a somewhat extended eastern trip, they will spend the winter in Western Canada, and later will be at home in Minneapolis to their many friends.

The house was gay with holly, smilax and poinsettias. The bride wore orange blossoms and the wedding gown was cream silk with hand embroidery as its only garniture. Miss Grace Harriman, the bridesmaid, wore a gown of plate blue eolienne and carried a shower bouquet of white carnations. Mr. Lymonds of Minneapolis was best man.

The out of town guests were Mrs. Proctor, Misses Adelaide and Clara Proctor, Mrs. S. W. Andrus of Columbus, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Proctor of Minneapolis, relatives of the groom; Mrs. Forest Brown, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Holliday of Minneapolis; Miss Grace Hobbs of Fond du Lac; Miss Gladys Neff, sister of the bride, of Macalister College, St. Paul.

The groom had helped to torture many a "newlywed", and like a joker, had to take his turn, and possibly got compound interest on his former pranks, judging from what we saw of the condition of the carriage and railway coach. If every kernel of rice means a good wish, this couple surely has a good start on the road to wedded bliss.
