Jacqualine Ann "Jackie" Rogstad, 71, Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, in New Richmond, at the home of her daughter, Sue Bauer, following her third battle with cancer. No services were held.

Jacqualine Ann Irvine was born on April 14, 1937, in Greenwood, on the family farm, to Quinton and Dorothy (nee Vollrath) Irvine. She was raised and received her education in the Greenwood area, graduating from greenwood High School in 1955. She then moved to Milwaukee and worked for Briggs & Stratton before marrying Robert E. "Bob" Rogstad on Sept. 2, 1961, in Greenwood. They lived in Milwaukee and Wisconsin Rapids, before moving to Greenwood in 1968. They farmed in Greenwood and eventually purchased the family farm, where she was born and raised, and farmed until 1989. She worked at Adult Development Service as a rehabilitation supervisor, from 1986 until she retired in 2003. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Her other interests included baking, fishing, gardening, dancing with her sister Joan, and watching her kids play sports.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, Greenwood; five children, Roxanne Jester, Amherst, and her children, Jerod and Kassidy, Rick (Carla) Rogstad, Eleva, and their children, Kristin and Jamie, Randy Rogstad. Willard, Susan (Eric) Bauer, New Richmond, and their children, Loni, Lorin and Lane; and Rodney (Dana) Rogstad, Plymouth, Minn.; two sisters, Joan (Tim) Gruber, Greenwood, and Dorene Wetzel, Jackson, one sister-in-law, Marion Irvine, Grafton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Victor Irvine; and one niece, Julie Gruber.

Mom and Grandma will always be remembered for her flower gardens, her quiet manner, and her wonderful family meals and desserts.

"You worked so hard for so many years, and always hid your pain and tears. You never complained. Even when you should, we never really understood. We’ll always remember you before the cancer, we pray someday medicine finds an answer. Don’t worry about us, Mom, we’ll be ok; we’re thankful your pain is gone away. It won’t be long, time goes by fast, we’ll be a family again at last. So put on those wings, dance and have fun, we’ll eventually join you and be as one. We love you and will miss you, Mom."
