Horn, Lila A. #2 (30 JAN 1932 - 2 APR 2009)

Lila A. Horn, 77, Greenwood. died on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Clark County Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 6, at Immanuel United Church, rural Greenwood. The Rev. Mark Schwinn and the Rev. David Sommerfield co-officiated. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eric Baker, Ryan Baker, Kurt Humke, Todd Humke, Dale Humke, Joel Humke, Dennis Stanke and Wayne Richmond.

Lila Ann Richmond was born on Jan. 30, 1932, in Greenwood, to Guy and Laura (nee Miller) Richmond. She was raised and received her education in the greenwood area, and was a 1949 graduate of Greenwood High School. After graduation, she worked for the Greenwood School District as a secretary for five years. She married Herbert Horn on June 30, 1951, at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Together they farmed and raised their family in the town of Warner. She lived on the farm until entering Clark County Health Care Center in September 2004. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, where she was active in the Ladies Aide, served as secretary and taught Sunday School for many years. She also served as the clerk for the town of Warner for 32 years and was a member of the Jolly Homemakers. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, cooking and embroidery.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Herbert, Greenwood; her children, Bruce Horn, Cincinnati, Ohio, Luann (Chris) Baker, Greenwood, and Allen (Laura) Horn, Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; one brother, Jerald (Myrna) Richmond, Greenwood; two sisters, Rose Caryl (Paul) Humke, Greenwood, and Betty Horn, Greenwood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
