Bever, Nettie #2 (29 MAY 1876 - 20 JAN 1908)

Monday morning Mrs. Jacob Bever died at her home on the north side (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) after a brief illness. She was the wife of Jacob Bever and was prominent in church and fraternal circles. Mrs. Bever was born Miss Nettie Gee at Germantown, Wis., May 29, 1876. She received her early education at her birthplace and at Grand Rapids, where her parents later moved. On Nov. 28, 1895 she was united in marriage to Jacob Bever at Marshfield, and in November 1903, Mrs. Bever came to Neillsville to reside. Five children were born to them, three of whom have preceded their mother in death. Two little girls, Gertrude and Edith, remain to comfort their father. The remains will be taken to Marshfield this morning, where services will be conducted by Rev. Jos. Volz, and interment made.

Mrs. Bever was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an indefatigable worker in the Altar society. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors. She was a most excellent woman, an earnest Christian, and one whose natural charitable and friendly qualifications endeared her in a large circle of friends.

Beside her husband and children, Mrs. Bever is survived by her parents, two sisters, Mrs. H. B. Parker of Pittsville and Miss Nellie Gee of La Crosse, three brothers, Harvey, Ira and Leslie of Grand Rapids. Her mother, sisters and brothers and Peter Bever of Marshfield were here to accompany the remains to their last resting places.
