Lockbram, Christian #2 (3 NOV 1839 - 1 FEB 1908)

Saturday evening Christian Lockbram, who resides on his farm just north of this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly while reading the paper. Medical assistance was hastily summoned, but the old gentleman had expired before the physician had arrived. He had been in apparent good health and his death was a surprise and grief to his many friends. He was a bluff, honest and conscientious man, and one who always tried to do by his neighbor as he would be done by.

Christian Lockbram was born in Germany on Nov. 3, 1839. He came to America at the age of 15, and at the outbreak of the war, he enlisted. He gave an arm in defense of his country. He was united in marriage to Miss Pflughoeft, shortly after settling in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been a resident of Clark County for many years. His wife, two sons and one daughter survive him. The funeral services were held at the Congregational Church yesterday afternoon.
