Pease, Mercy (8 JAN 1823 - 3 FEB 1908)

Mrs. Mercy Pease died at the home of her son Sylvester Pease Jr. in the Town of York (Clark Co., Wis.) Feb. 3, 1908. Deceased was born at Middleburg, Vermont Jan. 8, 1823. She was married to Sylvester Pease Aug. 27, 1846, and moved to Sheboygan Co., Wis., where they made their home for twenty-three years. In 1873 they moved to the town of York. About eleven years ago the husband died. She is survived by one son, one daughter, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a woman of the highest excellence, and had done well her work in life. The funeral was held today at Visgar Church in York, Rev. W. P. Burrows officiating.
