The Sewing Circle gave a shower party for Edith Luck Tuesday
night of last week at the Riverside Park hall.
Mesdames Worden and
Novatny visited at the home of L.H. Munson last Wednesday.
Johanna Blum
left Sunday for a visit in Chicago.
Gladys Jones spent the weekend in
Neillsville.
Paul Schroeder of Neillsville is working for his
grandfather, H. Blum, this week.
John Blum went to Chicago Wednesday for
a few days’ visit.
Miss Lulu Richmond called at the J. Baker home
Saturday evening.
Mrs. Strupp and family moved onto the A. Williams farm
Thursday.
The town spelling and arithmetic contests were held Friday at
the Lincoln School. Rena Saas of Dist. No. 7 received first place in spelling,
Viola Weseloski Dist. No. 7 second, and Helen Ehlers of Dells Dam School 3rd. In
arithmetic Helen Ehlers received first place, Ethel Daehnert of Carlisle School
second and Henry Sanheim of Dist. No. 7 third.
Alfred Schmabel of Grant
visited at the home of H. Lipke Thursday evening.
E.H. Wilde spent Sunday
in Manitowoc.
Henry Lipke is working for E. Junchen in Grant.
