East Hewett and West Pine Valley (4 May 1916)
The baseball fever has broken out in this neighborhood and is spreading. Our old
Iron Sides will work on the mound again for the 30th consecutive season and
expects to have more of a pull than ever.
Leat McKinney, the Sauerberg
boys and Frank Putz are all breaking colts. One of the colts is a purebred
Percheron and named after Woodrow Wilson.
Floyd Shumway and family and
Mrs. F. Kish or Vernon County are here visiting relatives.
A fine baby
boy arrived at the home of Otto Wetzel and being the 1st boy was doubly welcome.
