Berg, Paul #2 (14 NOV 1881 - 16 APR 1908)
On April 16, 1908 the death of Paul R. Berg occurred at Minneapolis, and in his death one of Neillsville’s (Clark Co., Wis.) brightest young men was taken away. Interment was made Saturday at Sechlerville. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lowe attended from this city.
Paul Berg was born in Neillsville Nov. 14, 1881, and grew to manhood here. He attended and graduated from the Neillsville High School, and was always considered as one of the most promising young men of the city. His mother died twenty-three years ago, and his father, Philip Berge, died five years ago. For many years he made his home with his uncle, Jesse Lowe, and four years ago he entered the mail service, having a run on the Soo Line. In May he would have had a promotion with a $1400 per year salary. He was one of two sons, his brother, Seth, surviving him. Paul was a moral young man and his death is deeply regretted by his large circle of friends.
