Anderson, Anna (4 JUL 1837 – 5 May 1916)
Mrs. Peter Anderson died on
Friday morning at her home on the north side. She has been in failing health for
several months so her death was not unexpected. She was born Anna Johnson on
July 4, 1837, at Shiplanda, Sweden. She was united in marriage to Peter Anderson
on Aug. 9, 1876, and to this union three children were born, John, Anna and
Edward, The Anderson family came to this country in Aug. 1890, locating in
Cahoos, N.Y., and in October of the same year moved to this city which remained
their home ever since. Deceased was a woman of many splendid qualities and while
her acquaintance in the city was not large, yet those friends she did make
remained sincere friends all her life because of her kindly disposition and
charitable inclinations. She is survived by her husband and one son, John, of
St. Paul, and a step-daughter, Jennie Peterson, of Cahoos, N.Y. The funeral was
held Monday afternoon, services being conducted in the Norwegian Lutheran
Church, of which she was a member, and interment being made in the Neillsville
Cemetery.
