North York (18 May 1916)
School closed in Dist. No. 1 Friday for the summer vacation. Miss Jean Davis
treated the scholars to a picnic. Ice cream and cake were served and much
enjoyed by all.
L. Kronberger had the misfortune to fall the other night,
injuring his shoulder and is now under the doctor’s care.

Benedict is spending a few days with her daughter in town Loyal.
Several
from here took in the class play at Loyal Friday night. It was fine.
Walter Graves and wife called on S.A. Adams and wife Saturday.
Everett
Vogel of Loyal has hired out to Wm. Anderegg for the summer.
Art Judd
left Wednesday for Spring Valley after several days’ visit here. Clayton Bassett
accompanied him. He will make the trip by auto.
