Withers, Ruth #2 (20 JUL 1908)
Monday evening at 7 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sears in the town of Levis (Clark Co., Wis.) occurred the marriage of Arthur J. Latton and Miss M. Ruth Withers. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. Ralph Dunn of Medford and was witnessed only by a few friends and relatives of the contracting parties. The wedding was a very quiet and pretty one in its simplicity. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Latton went tot heir home at Medford where they will commence housekeeping.
Mrs. Latton is a sister of Mrs. Fred Sears, and a very talented and accomplished young lady. She is a graduate nurse and for the past year has made her home at Beloit. She is pleasing in appearance, and the home she will preside over will have all the comforts and happiness that her unusual mental attainments and refinement will give it. Mr. Latton has for several years been the County Superintendent of Schools of Taylor County and lately acquired the Medford Star-News. He has a fine education and stands high in the community to which he has given the benefits of his energy and industry.
Among those who attended the wedding were: Mrs. and Mrs. J. Latton and W. S. Withers of Medford, Miss Harriet Withers of Waterloo and Mrs. Adeline Sears of Madison.
