Seif, Christina (MAY 1819 - 7 SEP 1908)
Mrs. Christina Seif, whose maiden name was Zeiler, was born in May 1819 at Isin Wuertenberg, Germany. She came to the U. S. in 1846. The same year she was married to Franz Joseph Seif. They settled in Easton, Pa.; after several years moved to Oshkosh, then to Outagamie Co., Wis., where Mrs. Seif died in 1887. The last six years of her life she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Wiesner.
Nine children were born to them, six of whom, three sons and three daughters, are living. Forty-six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also mourn her loss.
The last four years of her life she was bedridden, her only ailment being old age. She was sweet tempered and patient through all her sufferings.
Mrs. Seif died Sept. 7th, 1908, Rev. Brandt conducted services at the home of Geo. Wiesner, Sept. 8th, at 8 o’clock p.m. Relatives took her body to Dale, Outagamie Co., where interment took place Sept. 9, Rev. Boettcher of Hortonville officiating.
