Wolff, Gertrude #3 (9 SEP 1908)
Last Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock Mr. William Tomz and Miss Gertrude Wolff were united in marriage by Rev. Risser. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s parents on Grand Avenue, and was witnessed by relatives and close friends of the young people. The residence was made beautiful with decorations of carnations and sweet peas. The wedding march was played by Miss Elona Wolff. Miss Jessie Wolff was the bridesmaid and Robert Karner attended the groom. The bride was dressed in a blue traveling suit, and after the wedding breakfast, which followed the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Tomz went to St. Paul to spend a few days. They returned here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) Sunday, and are preparing to take up housekeeping.
Mrs. Tomz is one of the most popular of Neillsville’s young ladies. Her educational attainments, refinement and domestic abilities are such that the home over which she will preside cannot but be happy and well conducted. Mrs. Tomz was for some time employed in the county register of deeds office, where she was a valued and capable employee.
Mr. Tomz is connected with the Wisconsin Furniture Mfg. Co. in the capacity of traveling salesman. He has the utmost confidence of his company and his pleasant address, honest, integrity and sobriety have made him highly successful in his business. It is the earnest hope of the Times that not a ripple will disturb the surface of the marital sea of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tomz.
