Shortville

A number of Andrew Short's friends dropped in on him Monday evening, and took possession of the house for a few hours it being his birthday. All report a jolly time.

There was a Christian endeavor organized in the Shortville church Sunday evening with a good attendance. Everybody is cordially invited to come and take part.

Mrs. Clarence Irish and children of Rochester, Minnesota, are visiting with her parents, James Short and wife.

There will be children's day exercises in the Cannonville school house Sunday, June 3 in the forenoon.

There will be preaching in the church Sunday evening. Sunday school every Sunday at 2 p.m.

It is understood that a number of people will be baptized in the Cunningham creek, Sunday afternoon.

Jame Irish, who has been visiting friends here for the past three weeks has returned to Minnesota.

Belle Irish of Rochester, Minnesota, is visiting with her cousin, Ida Carter, for a few weeks.

A number of people from here will attend memorial day exercises in Neillsville.

Percy Grace has been working with the hay press the past week.

E. Haggie and wife went to Neillsville Tuesday.

Philip Lowery and wife have a new baby girl.

Mrs. Poff is reported some better.
