Cresswell, Marguerite (11 NOV 1908)

(The Ismay, Ismay, Montana)

The marriage of Mrs. Marguerite Cresswell and Mr. John C. Orthal took place at the home of the groom at noon, Wednesday, the 11th, inst., Judge J. E. Prindle officiating. "Jack" had let his numerous friends in on the fact that the event was soon to transpire, presumably because he could not well keep it a secret after purchasing that fine bungalow, and they kept them pretty well occupied with congratulation all afternoon.

Mrs. Cresswell came out from her home in Minneapolis Tuesday evening, Mr. Orthal’s duties as accountant for the Earlingburt Mercantile Co. preventing his going to that city at this time. She is a bright and gracious young lady whom the ladies of Ismay will gladly welcome to their circle.

"Jack" Orthal is one of the young men who, though his residence here has been but a few weeks, has made a host of friends by his genial, personal and substantial character.

Mr. and Mrs. Orthal have gone to housekeeping in their new dwelling, where they will be at home to their friends after Nov. 25th.
