Westphal, Esther (Marriage - 12 Apr. 1947)
Miss Esther Westphal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Westphal, Abbotsford, became the bride of Robert Rueden, town of Holton, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rueden, on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Medford.
For the occasion the bride wore a white ninon gown with fitted bodice and full skirt. Her finger tip veil fell from a seed pearl head dress. She carried a bouquet of red, white and pink carnations and roses.
Attending her was Mrs. Vernon Westphal, sister of the groom. Her frock, also in white, was of marquisette, designed with a fitted bodice and full skirt. She wore a shoulder corsage with flowers like those of the bridal bouquet.
Mr. Westphal, who is a brother of the bride, was best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a 5:00 o’clock dinner was served to 30 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was held at the Trianon ball room.
The young couple are at home on a farm on Route 1, Abbotsford, Wis.
Among guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. George Rueden, and sons, George and Russel, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bramucker, Judy and Alicia, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Westphal, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Denzine and family, the Misses Janet and Grace Baronsky, Elaine Schaefer, Mrs. Theresa Rueden, John Rueden, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Glowdeman, Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leu and family, Abbotsford, Wis.
