Mrs. Joseph Skalecki, 38 (nee Ida Markowski), passed away at Billings Hospital, Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 28th, 1951, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Bajeks Chapel, 2325 So. Calif. Av., to St. Roman’s Church, 23rd St. and Washtenaw Av. The body was shipped to the Thorp Funeral Home and funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 2nd at 11 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Church. Interment was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.
Mrs. Joseph Skalecki was born in the vicinity of Thorp on Oct. 7, 1913. A graduate of the Thorp High School, she attended Eau Claire State Teachers College and taught school in the Thorp vicinity until her marriage to Joseph Skalecki in 1939. They made their home in Chicago until her death.
Beloved wife of Joseph, dear mother of Kenneth and Diane, loving daughter of Angeline Paul, sister of Lillian Wartolec, Emily Cesafsky of Stanley, Vern Juszczuk of Chicago; brothers John and Stanley of Stanley, Anton, Harrisburg, Pa., Steven of Madison, and Walter, Joseph, Alex and Frank of Chicago.
The pallbearers were: Mayland Ogurek, Anton Cesafsky and brothers, Steven, Anton, Walter, John, Stanley, Joseph, Alexander and Frank.
