Tennant, Carolyn Jo (Beatty) (April 4, 1950 - May 9, 2009)

Carolyn Jo Tennant, 59, Withee, died Saturday, May 9 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at Freeman Family Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Ind. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14 at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m.

The former Carolyn Beatty was born April 4, 1950 in Shelbyville to the late Garnett and Anna Ruth (Hart) Beatty Sr. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1968. She lived in Shelbyville until moving to Wisconsin in 1982.

On October 2, 1982, she married Kenneth Edward Tennant, who survives. They owned Edjoten Trucking where she worked as a secretary.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Joy (nee Rector) Huffmeyer of Shelbyville and Jill (nee Rector) Warner of Janesville; a brother, Jerry of Shelbyville; and five grandchildren, Shawn Tlusty, Cody Riley, Ashley Riley, Paul Tlusty and Jordan Warner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Garnett Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Knott.
