Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here on Saturday morning at ten o’clock for Mrs. Florian Anyzewski, 82, who passed away at the Stanley hospital on Wednesday, May 14th, 1952 of old age infirmities. Rev. F. Piekarski, Rev. H. Zoromski and Rev. Knopka officiated.
Mary Bogoslawski was born May 1, 1870 in Poland. She was united in marriage to Florian Anyzewski on Aug. 19, 1889 at Kingston, N.Y. They came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) fifty-four years ago and located on a farm northeast of here. Upon retirement from the farm she and her husband and family moved to the village, where she resided until the death. Mr. Anyzewski preceded her in 1944.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe Pawlak Sr., Thorp, 3 grandsons, Roman Anyzewski of South Gate, Calif., Edward and Joseph Pawlak, Thorp, one granddaughter, Mrs. Wendell Hottman of Cross Plains, Wis., and eight great-grandchildren. One son, Frank, preceded her in death a month ago.
The Rosary Society of St. Hedwig’s Church, of which she was a member, attended the services in a body.
She was laid tor est in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were V. Verner, Joe Pabich, B. Wiernasz, Adam Lesniewski, J. S. Bogumill and Frank Bokena.
Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kulik of Withee, Mrs. Tillie LaSota, Mr. and Mrs. A. Schott, Mr. and Mrs. Cas. Michalski, Mrs. F. Sikorski and Mrs. Leo Block of Chicago, and F. Bokena of Moklena, Ill.
