Lozynski, Lawrence (14 JUL 1874 - 18 SEP 1952)

Funeral services were conducted on Monday morning at ten o’clock at St. Hedwig’s Church for Lawrence Lozynski, 78, who passed away at his home in the city (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) on Sept. 18th, 1952 of old age infirmities.

The deceased was born in Poland on July 14, 1874. He came to America in March 1901, and located at Milwaukee where he lived for 13 years. In 1914 he came to Thorp and settled on a farm just west of here which he operated, until moving to the city of Thorp in 1931 where he resided until death.

He was united in marriage on Jan. 31, 1898 to Franciszka Szulgit in Poland, who, with the following survive him: three sons, Sylvester and Frank of Milwaukee and Roman of Chicago; one brother, Kazimierz Lozynski of Thorp; one sister, Mrs. Polly Kieszkowski of Michigan City, Ind., 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leon Glowacki, Harry Sierchuski, Samuel Horban, Corp. Edward Lozynski, Ervin Kroske and Larry Lozynski.

Relatives from out of town here to attend the services were Corp Ed Lozynski, Air Corps Base, Greenville, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Roman Lozynski and children, Geraldine, Larry and Thomas, Chicago, Messrs. And Mesdames Sylvester Lozynski, Harry Serchulski and sons, Gregory and Wayne, Ervin Kroske, Frank Lozynski and daughter Genevieve, Leon Glowacki and daughter Barbara and Mrs. Kramasz of Milwaukee; Mrs. Martin Ruka and children, Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brzezinski, Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bogdan of Stanley.
