Wedding vows were exchanged Friday morning, Oct. 10th, 1952 in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Orange, Calif. By Miss Dorothy Jean Hilgert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hilgert of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and George H. Kuegel Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Kuegel, Sr., of Owensboro, Kentucky.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle Fred D. Robinson, Sr.
The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Naughton in front of an altar decorated with bouquets of white mixed flowers.
The bride wore an ivory dress with white accessories. She carried a white prayer book, gift from the bridegroom, decorated with white roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Wayne Winterland, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a beige dress with black accessories and carried a nosegay of copper shades.
Groomsman for the ceremony was Charles Perko, friend of the groom. He and the groom were dressed in Marine blues.
Reception for the wedding family and friends was held at Anaheim, Calif., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Robinson Sr., aunt and uncle of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of the Thorp High School, class of 1950. She was employed at the Pacific Telephone Co. at Orange, Calif.
After a honeymoon trip to Kentucky and Wisconsin, the happy couple will reside at 265 South Orange St., Orange, Calif. The groom is stationed at the El Toro Marine Base at Santa Anna, Calif.
