There is also another interesting record there -- under William
Klowas -- indicating the birth certificate (14 May 1920) of Vincent
Klowas should be amended to read William Klovas. The Witness is his
aunt, Betty Lucas.
If you look at the original birth certificate, it shows the parents
as Vincent Klowas & Anthomine Lukosws (check the
handwriting).
Perhaps they were using William and Vincent interchangeably? I
would suggest expanding the search with the use of that name
also.

I don’t know if you will be able to help me. I am desperately
trying to track down a birth certificate for a great
grandfather.
William V Klovas is listed on a website that I believe you review,
namely the Holy
Family Catholic Cemetery Index.
On this page, William V Klovas is shown as being married to
Antonette Lucas on October 19th, 1919. To date I have been unable
to find any reference to their marriage and wondered if you would
know where this information regarding their marriage came from.
The marriage is also referenced in Antoinette’s (I believe
the correct spelling, although her gravestone shows her as
Antonette) obituary (above) indicating that she was born and
possibly married in Chicago, Illinois.
I have searched on several genealogy websites, using both spellings
of her name and under his name for any reference to their actual
marriage but have been unable to find anything at all.
I wondered if you would you be able to point me in any particular
direction as to where I may find some information or as to where
the source of your information came from for their marriage. I am
hoping that being able to locate a copy of their marriage licence
or certificate will help me with being able to locate where William
V Klovas was actually born.
I know he was born in Lithuania but I need to try and identify the
actual town in which he was born and ideally the church where he
may have been baptised. My searches so far lead me to believe that
he may have been born in a town in Lithuania called Amenė but
I have very little to back this up. Any help would be
gratefully appreciated and I look forward to hearing from
you. Simon
