A very pretty wedding took place at 9:00 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Saturday morning, Dec. 27, 1952, when Father A. M. Muckerheide joined in holy matrimony, at nuptial high mass, Sgt. Allen Klimeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Klimeck of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., and Miss Irene Meske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Meske, Thorp, Wis.

The church was beautifully decorated with Christmas flowers and the customary Christmas decorations.

While music played softly, the bride, who was escorted by her father, entered the church. She was gowned in a floor length dress with pink net and lace over white satin, with train and a fingertip veil. Her bridal bouquet consisted of white roses tied with white satin ribbon.

The little flower girl, Georgia Ann Meske, daughter of the bride, carried a colonial bouquet of white mums, red rose buds and green ferns, and she was dressed in a white nylon over satin floor length dress and wore on her head a small white satin band with tiny red rose buds.

Misses Beatrice and Dolores Meske, sister of the bride, were chosen as her bridesmaids. They wore identical floor length gowns of iridescent azalea pink silk organdy over azalea pink rayon taffeta with full skirts and navy blue velvet boleros. They carried colonial bouquet of white and yellow mums centered with roses. Their necklaces and earrings worn by them were gifts of the bride.

The groom wore his army uniform, and he was attended by his brother Adrian Klimeck of Union Grove, Wis. and Robert Pierce of Glenwood City, Wis. Both wore gray suits and carnations boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress and the groom’s mother wore a wine suit. They both wore corsages.

After the ceremony the bridal party was served a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents. Also a dinner was served to all guests at the home. A supper was served to eighty relatives and friends of the bride and groom at club 73, Thorp, Wis. in the evening at 7:30 o’clock. After a short honeymoon the newlyweds will return to their duties.

The bride is a graduate of the Thorp High School and attended Eau Claire College one year. She has been employed at the Peoples Exchange Bank for over two years.

The groom is a graduate of the Cadott High School, and he also attended school at the University of Wisconsin a short time. He enlisted in the army in 1951. At Fort George Meade Maryland he received his basic training and after graduating from there he was assigned to the far East with the Med. Co. 38th Inf. Reg. last December 1951. While in Korea he was promoted to Corporal and alter to Sergeant. He has about one year and four months to serve yet, so he will return to Colorado before Jan. 13th to await his new assignment.
