Deauchamp, Joseph A. (26 AUG 1869 - 7 FEB 1953)
Joseph A. Deauchamp passed away at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on Feb. 7, 1953 of old age infirmities.
He was born in Ridgeway, Wis. on Aug. 26, 1869. On Oct. 26, 18?? He was united in marriage to Mathilda Western at Richland Center, Wis. They resided there until 1901 when they moved on a farm near Thorp where they lived until 1904.
They spent several years in Marshfield and Madison before returning to Thorp to make their final home.
Mr. Deauchamp was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Tom. Surviving relatives are one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Parkhill, Marshfield, and one son, Fred of Minneapolis; one brother, John of Madison; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. Shaw at the Thorp Funeral Home at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Hymns were sung by Misses Jean and Margie Cook, accompanied by Mrs. Sherman Alger.
Interment took place in the east Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were John G. Bogumill, John Hickman, Arthur Soderberg, Jos. Turenne, Jay Alger and Wm. S. Wagner.
Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral of Joe Deauchamp here Tuesday were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Western, Mrs. and Mrs. Wendell Western, Mrs. John Liahojohn and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Deauchamp, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Welker, Donelda Deauchamp and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Western, South Milwaukee; Mrs. F. Deauchamp, Minneapolis; Mrs. Hannah Miller, Otto Miller, Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Dahm and family, Mrs. J. Loveland and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Dahm of Marshfield.
