Jarocki, Peter #2 (29 JUL 1896 - 21 FEB 1953)
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church here at ten o’clock Tuesday morning, Feb. 24th for Peter Jarocki, 56, a farmer in the Township of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who passed away at the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley at 3:20 a.m. on Feb. 21st, 1953. His death followed a long sickness from which he failed to rally. The requiem Mass was said by Father Francis Piekarski, assisted by Father Herbert Zoromski and Father Eugene Knopka.
Mr. Jarocki was born in Poland on July 29, 1896 and came to America in 1913. He first located in Buffalo, N.Y. and later Pittsburgh, Pa., also spending 8 years in the employee of Doge Bros. Auto plant in Detroit. He was united in marriage to Victoria Kowieski at Thorp on Aug. 12, 1924.
Peter, with his wife and family, came to Thorp in May 1926 settling on a farm in the Town of Withee where he resided until his death.
Until his last illness he was an active participant in town and school affairs and also a member of the Z.N.P. (Polish National Alliance), in which organization he served as Marshall until his death.
He leaves to mourn his untimely demise, his wife Victoria, four sons, John J. Jarocki, Eau Claire, S/Sgt Casimer Jarocki, in the air force at Atlantic, N.J., Benedict A. and Richard E. of Thorp; one daughter, Patricia Jean Jarocki of Thorp, one brother and one step-brother, Casimer and Felician Jarocki in Poland, and one step-sister, Stefani Telicki in Poland, and one grandson, Allan Jarocki. His parents, one brother, Joseph, and one sister, Tekla Rucki, preceded him in death.
Burial was made in the family lot in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
