Olejniczak, Pearl #2 (26 JAN 1899 - 1 MAR 1953)

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) on Thursday morning, March 5th at ten o’clock for Mrs. Matt Olejniczak, 54, who passed away at her home in the Town of Roosevelt on Sunday evening, March 1st, 1953, after a prolonged illness. The funeral mass was said by Father Francis Piekarski, assisted by Father Herbert Zoromski of St. Hedwig’s and Father Francis Przybylski of Vesper, Wis.

Pearl H. Glowacki was born in Leisenring, Pa., on Jan. 26, 1899. She came to Thorp with her parents at the age of one year and and resided in this community until death.

On Oct. 30, 1922 she was united in marriage to Matt Olejniczak at St. Hedwig’s Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by her father, Paul Glowacki of Chicago; two sons, Joseph of Thorp and Henry in the U. S. Army; three daughters, Mary of Wausau, Florence and Clara of Thorp; six brothers, Ted Glowacki, Thorp, Matt, Joe and Anton of Chicago, Leon of Janesville, Wis., and Stanley of Snohomish, Wash.; six sisters, Mrs. Alvina McGinley and Mrs. Helen Bacher, Eau Claire, Wis., Mrs. Harriet Rybacki, Mrs. Mary Lowell, Chicago, and Mrs. Connie Gonsler, Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Rosalie Kenniston, Culver City, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Sandra, Shirley and Susan Olejniczak.

She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Rybacki, Frank Burzynski, Mike Kaminski, Adam Szerlong, John Ruda and Frank Sierociuk.
