Ven Rooy, Rose (Marriage - 31 May 1947)

Miss Rose Ven Rooy, Madison, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ven Rooy, of Abbotsford, and Lloyd Amundson, son of Mrs. Amelia Amundson, Colby, were united in marriage, Saturday, May 31, at St. Mary’s rectory at Colby, Wis. The Rev. N. B. Beschta read the service at 10:00 o’clock.

Attending the couple were the bride’s sister, Mrs. Anton Schjoneman of Unity, and brother, Harold Ven Rooy, Chicago.

For the occasion the bride wore a white suit, white hat and carried a white purse. She wore an orchid corsage. Her sister wore an aqua suit and a corsage of red roses.

After a luncheon served at the home of the groom’s mother, Mr. and Mrs. Amundson left on a wedding trip to Michigan. They are now making their home in Colby, Wis.
