Miss Gertrude Ogurek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Ogurek became the bride of Henry Nowobielski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nowobielski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Chapel at ten a.m. April 24th, 1953.

The couple was attended by Don Ray Izydorek and Virginia Kinas.

The bride was attired in a gown of white lace over satin bodice which fell into a long train. The long Chantilly lace sleeves came to a point at the wrist and her fingertip veil fell from a dutch cap style crown. She wore a pearl choker and earrings to match, her gift from the groom. Her wedding bouquet was colonial style of white carnations, colored sweet peas with a white orchid.

Her bridesmaid wore a colonial blue dress of ballerina length in lace over taffeta with a net cape. The headpiece was of flowers.

A reception was held at the American Legion hall where dinner and supper was served to the families and immediate friends.

The couple are residing in Thorp where the groom is employed at the O. & N. Lumber Co., and the bride as clerk In the Wolf Drug Store.
