Pagel, Mabel (Marriage - 12 July 1947)
Miss Mabel Pagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pagel, Forestville, and Ernest Haack, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Haack, of Abbotsford, exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon, July 12. The ceremony was performed in the Lutheran church at Kolberg, at 1:30.
The bride wore a white rayon marquisette gown with a train. The veil which also ended in a train, was caught to a heart shaped head piece with gardenias. Her bouquet was a heart shaped arrangement, centered with orchids.
Attending her was her sister, Miss Jeanette Pagel, as maid of honor, and Miss Mildred Maedke, her cousin, as bridesmaid. They wore identical frocks of blue and pink, designed with bustle back. They carried colonial bouquets of carnations.
Lawrence Jacobi, of Abbotsford, was the groom’s best man and Milton Pagel, brother of the bride, was usher.
Following the ceremony a reception for 125 guests was held at the farm home of the bride’s parents.
Guests from Abbotsford who attended were Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Haack, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kramer and son, Dennis, Mrs. Myra Hawks and Lawrence Jacobi.
Mr. and Mrs. Haack are at home at the Coffee Shop apartment. Mr. Haack and his brother-in-law, Howard Kramer, are proprietors of the Coffee Shop and Bus Depot.
