Reier, Cornithia (Marriage - 26 July 1947)
In a ceremony performed at 3:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church at Waupaca, Miss Cornithia Reier, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. F. A. Reier, Waupaca, became the bride of Darold Kramer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kramer, Abbotsford, Wis.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the bride’s father, who gave his daughter in marriage. The Rev. J. Brandt, of Hewitt, formerly of Abbotsford, delivered the address preceding the exchange of vows.
Attending the couple were Miss Deloris Reier, Wood, sister of the bride, and Edward Kramer, Ironwood, Mich., brother of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor and best man. Other attendants were Miss Florence Hachtel, Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Robert Kolb, New Ulm, Minn.; Mrs. Arvin Kramer, Madison, and little Marie Ann Ristow, Crandon, who was the bride’s flower girl. Ushers were the bride’s brother, Gerald Reier, Milwaukee; Arvin Kramer, of Madison, brother of the bridegroom, and Roy Randrich, Wild Rose.
Traditional wedding marches were played by Miss Branna Gibson, who accompanied Harold Brammel and Mrs. Paul Brammel, when they sang "The Lord is My Shepherd," and "God Will Take Care of You."
Dressed in a white satin and marquisette gown with a Madonna neckline detailed with a small bertha, the bride wore the veil of illusion and net worn by her mother at her wedding. The veil was held secure by a bonnet of Swiss lace, also worn by her mother. Stephanotis and white orchids made up the bridal bouquet. The maid of honor wore a blue marquisette dress with matching bonnet and carried an arm bouquet of pink delphinium. The other attendants were dressed in pink marquisette, styled like the dress of the maid of honor with matching bonnets and carried blue delphinium arm bouquets. The flower girl was similarly dressed in blue and carried a basket of flowers.
Dinner was served at the Nell hotel at 6:30 o’clock to 26 guests, and a reception followed in the parlors of the church during the evening.
For their honeymoon the couple left during the evening on an eastern motor trip that will take them into Canada. Upon their return they will live at 706 So. Main street, Waupaca.
The bride attended Waupaca high school, Dr. Martin Luther College, at New Ulm, Minn., and the University of Michigan. She has been employed as a receptionist in the Boudry-Patterson clinic. Mr. Kramer, who served in the marine corps for three and one half years, is now employed with the Waupaca County Post as a printer.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kramer and Roger and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kramer, of Abbotsford, attended the wedding.
