Mrs. Anna Fillipeck, a resident of the Town of Butler, Clark County, Wis., passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital about 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 1953, following a brief illness.
The deceased was born Anna Kowalczyk, in Poland, on Jan. 1, 1892 to Stanley & Mary Kowalczyk. She came to the United States with her mother and siblings in 1903, settling in Oglesby, Ill. There she was married to Frank Filipek on Nov. 28, 1911 in Sacred Hearts Church. In 1929 they moved to the Town of Butler, where they have since resided.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Williams of Withee; and Mrs. Martha Tomkowiak, Stanley; ten grandchildren, and one brother, John Kowalczyk of Peru, Ill.
The funeral services were held from the Plombon Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Harold Miller officiated at the Jehovah Witness services, with interment being made in the Jehovah Witness Cemetery, Town of Thorp.
