Hebert, Virginia Rose (Glasby) (15 OCT 1918 -
28 NOV 2013)
Virginia Rose Hebert, 95, of Marshfield, passed away with
her family by her side on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Ministry Saint
Joseph’s Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday,
December 3, 2013, at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Mark
Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in West Spencer Cemetery in the Town of
Sherman, Clark County. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral
home on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday at the funeral home
from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Acting as pallbearers will be Tina
Steinbach, Jeremy and Chris Hargraves, Trishia, Timothy and Todd Hebert, Jenny
Charron, Tiffany Widmann, Lisa Ramos, Justin and Jason Verkilen, Anjelika and
Allyn Ramsdell, Tami Meyer and Ashley Heeg.
Virginia was born October 15,
1918, to William and Emma (Moldenhauer) Glasby on a farm just south of Curtiss.
She was a graduate of Colby High School. Virginia married Gerald Merlin Hebert
on February 14, 1947, and resided on a farm north of Marshfield. They later
divorced.
After being engaged in farming, Virginia then worked at The
Marshfield Convalescent Center, Figi’s and finished up her working career with
25 years of employment at Automated Products, Inc. in Marshfield.
Her
hobbies included making beautiful quilts, sewing, working in the flower gardens
at her home, cooking for her family especially when they requested for her
mouthwatering pot roast, delicious banana cream pie along with many other
dishes. She also enjoyed playing cards (500 rummy) with her family.
Survivors include her children, Gerald William “Bill” (Mary) Hebert, Richard
Allen “Dick” (Marge) Hebert and Barbara Emily Hebert all of Marshfield and
Deborah Ann Ramsdell of Lawton, OK. Virginia is further survived by one
son-in-law, Dan Jonas of Spencer; 15 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren,
many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Virginia was preceded
in death by her parents; her former husband; two brothers; four sisters; and
most recently her daughter, Charlotte Rose Jonas, on January 5, 2013.
