Larson, Robert (4 July 1937 - 27 May 2009)

NEILLSVILLE -- Robert "Bob" Larson Sr., 71, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, with his family at his side following a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery in Granton.

Bob was born July 4, 1937, in the town of Granton to Gilbert Larson and Elsie (nee Launtenbach) Jahnke. He married Sandy (nee Siddons) Larson on March 22, 1957, in Wheeling, Ill. She preceded him in death.

In 1978, Bob and Sandy moved to the Neillsville area with their four children. Bob retired from Nelson Muffler. During his "retirement," Bob drove for the Neillsville Taxi.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Karen) Larson Jr. of Elmwood Park, Ill., Donna (partner Anne Conley) Larson of Prairie du Sac, and Tracy (Bob Hebert) Larson of Neillsville; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Geraldine Hoagland.
