Nysted, Violet #2 (14 APR 1945)

At 3 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 14, Miss Violet Nysted, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Nysted of Loyal, exchanged wedding vows with Sgt. Burton L. Finet, son of Mrs. E. Finet of Chicago, in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. O. M. Running in the parsonage of Christ Lutheran church in Chicago.

The bride chose for her wedding attire a powder blue street-length frock and fuchsia hat and gloves. She wore a corsage of gardenias. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Pearl McDermott, of Chicago, wearing a brown dress, with yellow accessories and a corsage of yellow daisies, was matron of honor. Harry Finet, a brother of the groom served as best man.

Following the ceremony, a buffet supper was served to 12 guests at the McDermott home, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion.

After a short honeymoon in Chicago, Sergeant Finet, who had been given a 22-day furlough from overseas, left to return to his duties there.

To the newlyweds the Tribune adds its wishes to those of friends for a happy wedded life.
